Scales & Tails Animal Extravaganza!!!
The Scales & Tails Animal Extravaganza is the most academic of my animal programs. That being said, this program works best for children that are a bit older (6th grade through 12th grade) but I can customize the material based on age upon special request. This program looks deeper into some of the amazing adaptations of our animal friends and how these adaptations help them to survive. We will learn why a tarantula is covered in hair, why an owl has such large eyes, why a hissing cockroach hisses and how a hawk can see a tiny mouse from miles away. We will also discuss environmental factors like pollution, habitat loss, and global warming that are affecting our wildlife. But don't worry, we will still set-aside plenty of time to touch most of the creatures and take pictures!
Here is a list of the animals that I can invite to your program:
- Corn Snake
- Black Rat Snake
- Milk Snake
